What Are Outdoor Pool Tables Made Of?
At Century Billiards, our outdoor pool tables have an all-aluminum construction, welded together for beautiful, seamless construction. For extra support, the upper frame in our tables also has an inner frame with aluminum I-beams for support. Most outdoor pool tables are made of particle board and do not withstand rain and harsh weather. Century Billiards outdoor pool tables are made to last just like our indoor pool tables.
Do Century Billiard’s Outdoor Pool Tables Use Slate Like Indoor Ones?
Yes, Century Billiards uses a one-piece slate for a perfectly level playing surface on our outdoor pool tables. We back the slate with a polyvinyl sheet so that the Sunbrella® material stretches over it correctly. We then staple and upholster the material for tightness using stainless steel staples to prevent rusting. The combination creates a superb playing surface that withstands rain, snow and all kinds of harsh weather.
Can It Be Stored Outside Year Round?
Yes, Century Billiards all-weather outdoor pool tables can and should be left outside all year. Nothing can hurt the table. It is virtually indestructible, the most durable pool table on the planet.
Does the Outdoor Pool Table Have to Be Covered If It Rains?
Century Billiards outdoor pool tables are 100% waterproof and do not have to be covered in the rain. That said, each table comes with a fitted, waterproof cover so you can cover it when not in use.
Does an Outdoor Pool Table Require Special Equipment? What Comes with the Pool Table?
Each Century Billiards outdoor pool table purchase comes with the table itself, a fitted, waterproof cover, four cue sticks, an 8-ball triangle, a set of high-quality billiard balls, chalk and table brush.

What Happens to the Table Pockets in the Rain?
Our outdoor pool tables have pocket openings at the correct angles and are made of commercial quality rubber that’s molded specifically for our tables. Each pocket contains a very tiny hole in the bottom center for water drainage.
Are Special Billiard Balls Required for Outdoor Pool Tables?
No, regular billiard balls are fine. Century Billiards outdoor pool table comes with a set of high-quality billiard balls are a cast phenolic high-density resin that can get wet and be easily cleaned.
Where Can an Outdoor Pool Table Be Placed?
An outdoor pool table can be set on any surface. However, we recommend pavers, a concrete slab or deck for best results. If you place the outdoor pool table on grass we do recommend placing four 12” square bricks under the pool table because rain and other conditions will cause the ground to shift, which means the table won’t be consistently level.
How Does the Outdoor Pool Table Surface Withstand Sunlight and UV Fading?
Century Billiards outdoor pool table surfaces are covered with Sunbrella® fabric that retains 95% of its color throughout its life under normal, everyday conditions, including direct sunlight exposure.
How Heavy Is an Outdoor Pool Table?
Century Billiards outdoor pool tables are made from high-quality aluminum and slate so they last a long, long time and withstand virtually any weather condition. Unlike flimsy particle board tables, these frames weigh 200 – 350 pounds and the slate weigh 450-550 pounds so you won’t be pulling the table out and putting it away like the tables made of particle board.
